(AP) — Maine's second-largest electric utility, Bangor Hydro Electric Co., has promoted two of its top leaders to new posts.

Robert Hanf, former president and chief operating officer, now carries the title of CEO, and Gerard Chasse takes over Hanf's old job. Chasse previously served as executive vice president of operations.

Chris Huskilson, chairman of the board, says Hanf will focus on advancing Bangor Hydro's strategic initiatives while Chasse will focus more on day-to-day operations.

Bangor Hydro serves 117,000 customers in Penobscot, Hancock, Washington, Waldo, Piscataquis and Aroostook counties. It's a subsidiary of Nova Scotia's Emera Inc.
