Marchon gets patent for 3-D lenses

Melville-based Marchon Eyewear has a new patent, issued by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for the company’s curved 3-D lenses.
The lenses are marketed under the name M3D.
Patent #7,854,506 “protects the invention of curved lenses configured to decode three-dimensional content,” Marchon says.
It will use the M3D lens for “several lines of cutting-edge, passive 3-D eyewear for use in movie theaters, 3-D gaming consoles and passive 3-D televisions and computers.”
