Mather Memorial names 2 execs

John T. Mather Memorial Hospital announced two appointments recently.

Dr. Kara H. V. Kvilekval, left, was named chairwoman of the Mather Hospital medical board and president of its medical staff. The Setauket resident is also medical director at her private practice within Vascular Associates of Long Island in Stony Brook.

Dr. Richard Savino of Port Jefferson, right, was named vice chairman of the medical board and vice president of the medical staff. He is vice chairman of the department of orthopedic surgery at the hospital and has a private practice in Port Jefferson, Long Island Bone and Joint.
