The developers of housing projects in Mineola and Westbury have requested tax breaks from the Nassau County Industrial Development Agency, records show.

MCRT Northeast Llc is seeking support for a five-story apartment building at Old Country Road and Willis Avenue in Mineola. The project consists of 275 rental units and an underground parking garage.

MCRT also wants to construct a four-story building on Front Street, also in Mineola. The 36 units would be for seniors at affordable rents, the company told the development agency.

Both projects are the subject of a public hearing set for May 25.

Amber Court Assisted Living Llc wants to expand its Westbury location with 29,400 square feet at 3500 Brush Hollow Road. Amber Court also is building a facility in Nesconset, which was backed last year by the Suffolk County Industrial Development Agency.

The Nassau IDA's board of directors is expected to consider the Amber Court application on May 23.
