All mothers are invited to "free pass week" at a new club in Huntington geared especially for mothers. For the week beginning Jan. 31, all classes are free for walk-ins.
The location is Club Mom, "the ultimate place where moms can socialize, get fit, learn and be pampered." Invited are "empty nesters, new moms, working moms or stay-at-home moms."
The club was created by a licensed social worker, Stacy Schwed (pictured at right), a therapist and publisher of Parents R People website and magazine; and by Linda Colagrande (pictured at left), a "mompreneur" who’s familiar with the challenges of stay-at-home mothers.
After the free week, it’s for members only.
Standard membership of $39 a month includes "free babysitting, all workshops and support groups as well as special events, mingling mom hours, mom's night out parties, use of the lounge, and generous discounts on all classes, spa, counseling and coaching services."
Fitness membership is $79 a month, including unlimited yoga and exercise sessions. The club is at 601 W. Jericho Turnpike, and the phone number is 631-659-3939.
