The state will hold a two-day conference next month in Albany for minority and female entrepreneurs, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced.

The 2022 Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprise Forum will be held on Oct. 6-7 in the Albany Capital Center.

The forum consists of in-person and virtual events designed to help MWBEs prosper. There will be panel discussions on accessing capital, government contracting opportunities and the cannabis industry, among others.

“Last year, [state government] reached a historic utilization rate for our MWBE program, but our important work continues,” said Jerome DuVal, who oversees the program. “This year’s forum will showcase our mission of building a truly equitable future.”
