(AP) — Molecular diagnostics company Myriad Genetics Inc. said Tuesday Dr. Mark Skolnick will step down from its board of directors.

Skolnick will remain with the company as a part-time employee in the capacity of senior scientist emeritus. He has served on the board since 1991.

On June 30, the company completed a spin-off of its former research and drug development businesses, which now make up a separate publicly traded company called Myriad Pharmaceuticals.
