Nearly 300 employers expected for Nassau Mega Job Fair

Nassau County will host a Mega Job Fair Friday, with nearly 300 employers participating.
Employers must have a minimum of three jobs to offer, with regular wages, not commissions, said the Department of Social Services.
The employers expected for the event at Nassau Community College in Garden City include Astoria Bank, Flushing Bank, New York Life, Rally Motors, Kohl's, Macy's, Walmart and CVS. The sponsors include local radio station K98.3/FM, Astoria, Walmart and New York Life.
The event will take place in the gymnasium. Admission and parking are free. The fair runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., but the first hour is for veterans only. General admission begins at 10 a.m.
