Nassau County will offer a free financing workshop on Monday night for inventors and aspiring business owners.

The two-hour meeting will run from 7 to 9 p.m. in the second-floor ceremonial chamber of the County Executive and Legislative Building at 1550 Franklin Ave. in Mineola.

Officials from the county’s Inventors and Entrepreneurs Club, Long Island Development Corp. and Grow Nassau Fund will discuss loans and other financing available to startup companies. Both the development corporation and Grow Nassau work with the U.S. Small Business Administration on loans.

Grow Nassau has several million dollars to loan out, said Nicholas T. Terzulli, business development director at the county’s industrial development agency and moderator of Monday’s panel discussion.

The agency established Grow Nassau in 2006 using a $600,000 penalty then-North Fork Bank paid for moving an IDA-backed business from Nassau to Suffolk County. Grow Nassau is now administered by the National Development Council.
