About forty commercial real estate brokers from Nassau and Suffolk counties  faced off in a friendly game of baseball at Citi Field, dubbed  Battle of the Brokers.

The first pitch was to be thrown around noon Tuesday, and while the Nassau versus Suffolk rivalry will be evident, "we expect this rivalry to be considerably friendlier than the Mets-Yankees’ Subway Series," said Philip Wachtler, a principal at Farmingdale-based Wachtler, Knopf Equities and game organizer.

Wachtler is also the son-in-law of New York Mets owner Fred Wilpon.
