A TV commercial done for the Westbury-based credit union NEFCU has won a top silver Telly advertising award.

The commercial, entitled "If I Only Had a Heart," pokes fun at the alleged heartless nature of banks and bankers. The agency that produced it was DeVito/Verdi of Manhattan.

The 30-second commercial, which uses the words and music from the song from "The Wizard of Oz," has been airing throughout Long Island since March.

The award was announced last month.

NEFCU, known also as Nassau Educators Federal Credit Union, has total assets of $2.29 billion and about 160,000 members, according to the National Credit Union Administration.

Numerous silver and bronze Tellys are awarded each year in various categories. The awards, founded in 1979, honor outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, video and film productions, and web commercials, videos and films.
