New health posts on Long Island

Kevin Koubek, left, has joined John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson as director of project management. He was director of planning and engineering for the Village of Port Jefferson for 20 years and lives in Mount Sinai.
Kate Schneider, center, has been promoted to Reflections programming specialist at Bristal Assisted Living. Reflections is a program for those suffering from Alzheimer’s and dementia. The Seaford resident was director of the Reflections Memory Enhancement Programs at the East Meadow and Massapequa facilities.
Dr. Robert A. Edelman, right, has been named acting chairman of the department of urology at Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola. He’s been an attending physician since 1979 and director of cryotherapy since 2007. The Mill Neck resident is also an assistant clinical professor at Stony Brook University School of Medicine.
