Portledge School in Locust Valley announced two new hires. Stephanie Avidon, left, has been named manager of communications. The Syosset resident had her own consulting business before joining the school. Christina Villecco, right, of Forest Hills has been named advancement associate. Before joining Portledge School the Forest Hills resident worked for Steve Madden as a merchandiser. 

Meanwhile, Rommel Robertson has joined Farmingdale State College as an assistant professor in the psychology department. The Brooklyn resident was an adjunct lecturer at Brooklyn College.
