A Long Island export company has landed top honors as the state’s exporter of the year.

North Shore International Inc., of New Hyde Park, has been named the New York Regional and State Exporter of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration. The federal agency will honor Edward Kezys, the company president, Wednesday at its headquarters.

North Shore International specializes in exporting spare parts, equipment and accessories for the oil and gas, power generation and telecommunications networking industries to clients in the Middle East, the agency said. The business grew with the help of a Small Business Administration export working capital loan from TD Bank.

The company’s initial $500,000 line of credit has since increased to $3.75 million. North Shore International, established in 2004, has generated more than $9 million in export sales to countries including Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar, the agency said.
