New jobs in local government

Asharoken mayor and resident Patricia Irving, left, has been named Town of Huntington Deputy Superintendent of Highways.
The Suffolk County Planning Commission announced two new members:
Wainscott resident Diana Weir is executive vice president of the Long Island Housing Partnership and will represent the Town of East Hampton.
Smithtown resident John Finn is director of leasing and acquisitions at Damianos Realty Group in the Village of the Branch. He will represent the Town of Smithtown.
