New officers for business groups
Robert McBride, Rose Simpson and Liz English
Robert McBride, left, has been appointed president of the Taxicab, Limousine & Paratransit Association, the nonprofit trade association for the private passenger transportation industry. The Dix Hills resident is vice president of Park Strategies in Manhattan and operator of Metro Taxi in Denver.
Rose Simpson, center, has been appointed secretary of the New York chapter of the National Association of Water Companies, based in Albany. Simpson is an operation specialist at Long Island American Water in Lynbrook and lives in Wantagh.
Liz English, right, has been named board president of the Long Island Board of Realtors (LIBOR). The West Islip resident is an associate broker with Netter Real Estate in West Islip.
