Maximum Computer Systems Inc. (MCS) of Ronkonkoma has become a reseller with one of the nation's largest automated-shipping software providers.

MCS will sell Varsity Logistics shipping systems, for use with IBM i servers, for deliveries through such shippers as UPS (left), FedEx and the U.S. Postal Service.

MCS, with offices on Veterans Memorial Highway, is an IBM business partner. It focuses on the distribution industry, and is a reseller of Infor’s ERP A+ software, Varsity Logistics said in a news release.

Varsity's director of business development, Vincent Taravella, says the partnership will be good for both companies. "It enables us to go to market in the Northeast region of the United States, with a proven partner," he said in the news release.

Among the major clients already using Varsity Logistics shipping software are White-Rogers, Sanrio, Wigwam, Chicago Faucets, Kawasaki and Purolator.
