New positions on boards

Diana R. Karabelas, left, was elected to the American Staffing Association’s board of directors. She is deputy general counsel for Adecco Group North America in Melville and lives in Oceanside.
Janet Gilmor, right, has been named to the Family Service League’s board of directors. She is assistant superintendent for human resources at the William Floyd School District in Shirley and lives in Huntington.
Paul Monte, general manager and chief executive at Gurney’s Inn Resort & Spa in Montauk, has been appointed to the New York State Tourism Advisory Council. He is a Montauk resident.
Richard G. Fromewick has been appointed executive board secretary at Friedberg Jewish Community Center in Oceanside. He chairs the tax certiorari and condemnation practice at the Garden City law firm of Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein and lives in Oceanside.
