New senior VP at Aceto Corp.
Lake Success-based Aceto Corp. has promoted the manager of its specialty chemicals division to the post of senior vice president.
The executive, Roger Weaving, joined Aceto in 1984 and worked his way up to his current position as global business manager for specialty chemicals.
The promotion was announced by Albert Eilender, who took over in September as chief executive and executive board chairman.
Aceto is a worldwide distributor of pharmaceuticals, specialty chemicals and crop protection products.
The company in November said strong sales performance in 2009 propelled it into the ranks of the biggest chemical suppliers on the continent and in the world.
It made the top 10 list in North America and the top 25 list worldwide. It's ranked #7 in North America and #22 in the world.
