Nonprofits make new board appointments

Robert C. Suarez, left, has joined the board of directors at the Early Years Institute, a Plainview nonprofit organization that promotes increased investment in young children. The Freeport resident is assistant vice president of community development at Bethpage Federal Credit Union.
Rishi Shah, middle, has been named a member of the Multicultural Motion Picture Association's executive directors. The Manhasset resident founded S3 Media in Plandome.
Ted Richman, right, has been elected chair of the board of directors at the Barry and Florence Friedberg Jewish Community Center in Oceanside. The Merrick resident is the managing partner at the Lake Success law firm of Solomon Richman.
