Seattle-based Nordstrom Inc. Wednesday announced plans to open a third Nordstrom Rack on Long Island, this one in Manhasset, next year.
The discount division of the upscale retailer is scheduled to open the 32,000-square-foot store in the fall of 2013, the company said. The two-level store will move into the former location of Filene’s Basement in the Manhasset Center, which is owned by New Hyde Park-based Kimco Realty Corp.
Nordstrom Rack features clothing and accessories marked down 50 to 60 percent from original Nordstrom prices, the company said.
The third Nordstrom Rack location will join regional supermarket King Kullen, Marshalls and Michaels in the 189,000-square-foot shopping center.
Nordstrom also will open the doors to its second Long Island location in Huntington Station’s Huntington Shopping Center on Thursday.
