North Hempstead senior housing plan to be discussed
The town has set an April 28 special board meeting to hear an application for a senior housing development in Manhasset.
The board is to consider a proposal for a 72-unit development on a 3.19-acre site. The town last year changed its minimum lot size requirement for senior affordable housing complexes to 2 acres from 5 acres. The age requirement was lowered to 55 from 62.
Board members, at their Tuesday night meeting, accepted an environmental-impact statement for the application and set the hearing date.
