Northwell Health, the giant health care system that adopted a new name Jan. 1, has a new home.

Northwell, formerly known as North Shore-LIJ Health System, last month made a long-planned move of its headquarters to a three-story, 100,000-square-foot building at 2000 Marcus Ave. in New Hyde Park.

The 21-hospital health care system previously had been based at 145 Community Drive in Great Neck. The new headquarters will be occupied by about 300 employees, including top executives and staff in the legal, strategic planning, managed care, corporate security, marketing and communications, and patient and customer experience departments.

The new, leased facility includes a conference center that can accommodate 275 people. It features a 30-foot-wide video wall.

Northwell, with 61,000 employees, also has a New York City headquarters at 130 E. 59th St. in Manhattan. The not-for-profit is New York state’s largest private employer and runs medical and nursing schools with Hofstra University.
