NYIT, LICA offer education series for entrepreneurs

The Long Island Capital Alliance and New York Institute of Technology are partnering to offer an educational series for entrepreneurs. The first event is Tuesday night at the school’s Old Westbury campus.
The Entrepreneur Educational & Mentoring Series is intended to provide professional development guidance for new business owners. Tuesday’s event, Growing Your Business from the Ground Up, will feature a panel discussion moderated by LICA chairman Neil M. Kaufman.
Topics of discussion include business planning, entity formation, intellectual property protection, and financing alternatives.
The event, which runs from 5 to 8 p.m., will take place at NYIT’s de Seversky Mansion, 1 Northern Blvd. Tickets, which include an open bar and buffet dinner, are $15 for LICA members and NYIT faculty and students over 21, and $25 for the public.
