Some Optimum Online customers will see their monthly bills increase by $5 next year, Cablevision Systems Corp. announced Thursday.

The price increase, which equals 3.2 percent, is the first in a decade. It does not affect customers enrolled in a promotional pricing program, executives said. No changes were  made in prices for Optimum’s cable television and telephone services. Bethpage-based Cablevision owns Newsday.
