Hauppauge-based Orbit International Corp., which manufactures electronics and provides software solutions, announced Monday that it has received an order for "displays from a leading defense contractor for the Machine Contriol system for the U.S. Navy's CVN 789 class of super aircraft carriers." Above is an artists rendering of one of the carriers.

The order is worth about $800,000, the company said.

Combined with about $1.3 million in other orders related to this program, the company expects a total of $2.1 million in such work.
