Orlin & Cohen, an orthopedic practice, joins Northwell Health

Long Island’s largest private orthopedic practice, Orlin & Cohen Orthopedic Group, has agreed to join Northwell Health.
Orlin & Cohen has 80 health care providers on staff at eight Long Island locations, according to Northwell, which announced the agreement on Wednesday.
Orlin & Cohen has 35 board certified physicians that specialize in sports medicine, knee and hip replacement and treating a range of injuries.
In addition, the practice offers in-house diagnostic imaging, physical and occupational rehabilitation, pain management and neurology services.
Orlin & Cohen’s 500 employees are becoming Northwell employees.
New Hyde Park-based Northwell operates 17 outpatient practices across Long Island, Westchester and New York City as well as 10 hospital-based programs.
Northwell also signed a strategic affiliation agreement in April with Philadelphia-based Rothman Institute, one of the nation’s largest orthopedic practices.
Northwell, with 62,000 employees, is the largest private employer in the state.
