Port Washington-based Pall Corp., a maker of filtration systems, says it plans to showcase a new technology for removing contaminants from gases in the solar energy equipment-making industry.

Pall will take its Gaskleen PG44000 photovoltaic filtering system to a San Francisco alternative energy convention, Intersolar North America, to be held Tuesday to Thursday, July 12 to 14.

"The products are designed to help increase yield and reduce cost of ownership in solar cell manufacturing," Pall said in a Tuesday news release.

"Purification of the process gases utilized in solar cell production is critical to enhancing yields and conversion efficiency."
