Stony Brook University and the Three Village Chamber of Commerce will be holding an information session Tuesday morning for small businesses in Suffolk County to learn about doing business with the University system.

At the panel, purchasing directors for Stony Brook University, its hospital system, and Long Island state Veteran's home will present on navigating through the University's procurement process.

There will also be a presentation on Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo's new START-UP NY program, which allows some new companies that move onto a State University of New York campus to pay no taxes.

The event takes place Tuesday at 8 a.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn in Stony Brook.
