Park Electrochemical Corp. has named veteran executive John Jamieson to a new logistics position in its aerospace unit, the company announced.

Park Electrochemical Corp. has named veteran executive John Jamieson to a new logistics position in its aerospace unit, the company has announced.

Jamieson, who joined the Melville maker of coatings and materials for the electronics and aerospace markets in October, becomes vice president of aerospace supply chain management. He will report to chief executive Brian Shore and president Chris Mastrogiacomo.

Park announced Jamieson's appointment on Wednesday.

Before joining Park, Jamieson served as general manager of Active Metal Finishing Company Ltd. in Toronto and vice president global manufacturing engineering of Sanmina-SCI Corp., a contract manufacturer for the electronics industry.

Shares of Park were down 0.7 percent to $21.21 in late-morning trading Thursday.
