Patent official to speak at Tuesday's inventors club meeting

An official of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office will be the featured speaker at Tuesday's meeting of the Suffolk County Inventors and Entrepreneurs Club.
Sue Purvis, innovation and outreach coordinator for the patent office’s New York regional office, will discuss the America Invents Act, the office’s fee structure and other topics, club president Brian Fried said Monday.
The meeting starts at 7 p.m. in the media room of the H. Lee Dennison Building, 100 Veterans Memorial Hwy., Hauppauge. The event is free, though valid identification is required.
