The New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants has announced three new board members.

Harold L. Deiters III of Yaphankhas been elected vice president. He is a partner in the litigation and valuation services group in the New York regional offices of Baker Tilly Virchow Krause in Melville.

Paul E. Becht has been elected director as a chapter representative for the Suffolk chapter. He is a resident of Glen Cove and a partner at Baker Tilly Virchow Krause in Melville and an author.

Elizabeth A. Haynie has been elected director as a chapter representative for the Nassau chapter. She resides in Massapequa and is a consultant at Katz, Bernstein & Katz in Syosset.

Robert Savino of West Islip has been named trustee of the Walt Whitman Birthplace Association. He is retired from the finance industry and is currently a poet and a writer.

CORRECTION. Harold L. Deiters III of Yaphank has been elected vice president The New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. The title of his elected office was incorrect in previous versions of this story.
