Thomas J. Abbate has been promoted to executive director at the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a Bethpage-based charity. The Holtsville resident was promoted from director of stores.

Holly Gaddy Esteves of Locust Valley has joined Homes by Mara Realty in Syosset as a licensed salesperson. She previously worked as an associate director in internal communications and business marketing at UBS Investment Bank in Manhattan.

Dr. Peter Berman has been elected to the Huntington Hospital medical board. He has a clinical practice in ear, nose and throat, head and neck surgery, and facial plastic reconstructive surgery at the Mount Sinai North Shore Medical Group in Huntington. The Woodbury resident is an assistant clinical professor at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and at Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine at Hofstra University.
