Affordable College PBC Targets Upstate NY Community Colleges with New Success Fund
Entrepreneurial Community College Leaders find a new resource for their community colleges to help them increase readiness, enrollment, retention, and transfer rates on campus in 2018-2019.

As part of its mission as a B Corp, The Affordable College Public Benefit Corporation contributes a percentage of its revenue to funding community college success. Mohawk Valley Community College is the latest beneficiary of the new funding. Mohawk Valley Community College President Randall VanWagoner, Ph.D., has accessed this new funding for success initiatives while also continuing his support of entrepreneurial activity in the region. “Collaborating with Affordable College adds entrepreneurial energy at MVCC helping us reach more prospective MVCC students and then helping more of those students succeed. We recognize the value of having entrepreneurs working alongside us to sustain and grow the MVCC and Upstate New York region.”
Affordable College Founder, Sean O’Brien, said, “Students should expect outsized returns from their investment in higher education, the kind of returns Upstate NY community colleges provide because of their quality and affordability. We’re investing in Upstate NY community colleges because we believe in their importance in reaching the region’s college completion and economic development goals over the next decade and beyond.”
