Boca Italiana: A New Restaurant by Florida Restauranteur Maria Karaloukas

New Boca Raton Italian Restaurant will hold a grand opening on Wednesday, May 18th for the general public. On Tuesday, May 17th, Boca Italiana will be open exclusively for the press and foodie community to experience the menu firsthand from 4-7pm.

Maria Karaloukas, one of Florida’s top restaurateurs, dug through her own family archives to find the recipes for Boca Italiana, a new location featuring delightful Italian cuisine. The restaurant is located on 8221 Glades Rd., Suite 6.

In order to develop her new venue, Maria worked with Thomas Stanley, an accomplished designer and visionary. Throughout the space, guests will notice the rustic meeting traditional. Karaloukas chose the decor as homage to Italian family life.

"Thomas had great ideas, which complemented my own intentions. We want to bring Boca an incredible, authentic Italian experience. Thomas’ decor created space for guests to really focus on our food," says Mrs. Karaloukas.

Maria is known for her work at “Jimmy the Greek,” a popular restaurant serving its own flavorful variety of Greek cuisine with recipes inspired by her husband’s Greek heritage and family. Maria has now curated recipes from her own "Italian" heritage and will combine fresh, local ingredients with inspired favorites. A selection of white and red wines will be available to round out the final menu.

On Tuesday, May 17th, Boca Italiana will be open exclusively for the press and foodie community to experience the menu firsthand. The tasting will be from 4-7pm with Maria and her manager Natalie Eberwien will be available to both answer questions and book future events.

Boca Italiana, located at 8221 Glades Rd. Ste. 6, serves lunch through dinner Sunday to Thursday, 11:00 am to 10 pm. Friday and Saturday schedules are: 11 am to 11 pm.
