Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP continues to expand its Real Estate Practice with Daniel D. Balys joining the firm as of counsel in the Chicago office.

Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP continues to expand its Real Estate Practice with Daniel D. Balys joining the firm as of counsel in the Chicago office.

Balys’s practice includes the representation of borrowers and lenders in commercial real estate loan transactions; purchasers and sellers in the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate assets; and tenants and landlords in the leasing of office, retail, and industrial buildings. His lending practice includes construction, purchase, refinancing, restructuring, and note sale transactions that are secured by commercial real estate assets of all kinds, including office, retail, hospitality, industrial, and multi-family (including LIHTC) properties.

Prior to transitioning to private practice, Balys was in-house counsel with Equity Office Properties Trust, where he assisted with the company’s acquisition, disposition, financing, and leasing of office buildings. He received his B.B.A. from Niagara University and his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law.
