Sessions will address best practices for creating nature-based play environments for children and families, as well as outdoor fitness parks for adults

GameTime, a leading manufacturer of commercial playground equipment, outdoor fitness equipment and custom play spaces, is sponsoring a professional development symposium in Fort Wayne, Indiana, for parks and recreation professionals, educators and landscape architects. Attendees from across the state have registered for the half-day meeting which is being hosted by Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation and held at Pond Pavilion at Frank Park.

Two sessions will be presented during the meeting: NatureGrounds: Best Practices for Creating Naturalized Playgrounds and Outdoor Adult Fitness Parks: Best Practices for Promoting Community Health by Increasing Physical Activity. The presenter for both sessions is Master Trainer, Jennie Sumrell, Director of Education for PlayCore. PlayCore is the parent company of GameTime and is approved by IACET, LACES and AIA to award continuing education units (CEUs). Attendees who complete both sessions will receive Continuing Education Certificates and CEUs will be awarded.
