Sugar Land, TX (PRWEB) September 29, 2015
Hidrex USA, LLC recently attended the 2015 AAD Summer Meeting this past summer, which was held in New York City from August 19-23. Hidrex USA was joined by hundreds of dermatologists and medical professionals from across the globe. According to the official AAD Summer Meeting website, the program included multiple events involving councils, committees, and reunion groups for all registered attendees. The meeting allows for businesses, like Hidrex USA, to talk with medical researchers and licensed dermatologists about new research studies and treatment options on the market for a variety of dermatological concerns.
Hidrex USA attended the Summer Meeting to showcase the company?s Tap Water Iontophoresis (TWI) devices. TWI devices are used to treat hyperhidrosis, more commonly known as excessive sweating, by sending mild electrical currents through a basin of water and allowing the ionized currents to sweep over a patient?s skin, thereby temporarily and safely closing the sweat ducts. The process has been used for years but only recently has the medical community begun to discuss hyperhidrosis in earnest.
Hidrex USA used the AAD Summer Meeting as an opportunity to discuss their newest TWI device technology with dermatologists and to answer any questions about the TWI technique.
"We were really excited about the reception our products received there, and the opportunity it presented for helping more hyperhidrosis patients across the country,? said Chris Ligi, Director of Sales for for Hidrex USA.
Hidrex USA has become one of the leading companies providing treatment options for hyperhidrosis, which affects over 2% of the population today, and it is the exclusive provider of Hidrex brand TWI devices for North, Central, and South America. The AAD has a membership of approximately 19,000 practicing dermatologists, making its Summer Meeting one of the premier events for the dermatology community worldwide.
