HMS Welcomes Former WEBMD Executive As Chief Technology Officer

HMS taps WebMD executive for key technology role

HMS (NASDAQ: HMSY) today announced it has appointed Jacob Sims as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer effective April 30th 2018. In this role, Sims will lead the technology vision, strategy and execution of HMS’ data science, advanced analytics and services platform. He will also play a key role in applying valuable technologies to existing products and services as well as developing new solutions. Most recently he served as Chief Technology Officer and Interim Head of Product for WebMD Health Services where he led the development and execution of the company’s unified product and technology strategies.

Sims brings significant experience leading large-scale healthcare IT organizations and specializes in transformative initiatives and data-centric product cultivation. Before joining WebMD, Sims was Vice President of Development and Technology for Premise Health where he drove the development of multiple new product lines. Prior to Premise Health, he was Vice President of Technology for Xerox and Chief Technology Officer for Credence Health.
