Infertility Community Comes Together for Awareness Walk
On Sunday, September 27th, at the Endicott Estate, Dedham, MA, RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association and RESOLVE New England will host its first annual New England Walk of Hope. Elizabeth Carr, the first U.S.-born IVF baby, will be honored with the Infertility Hero Award.

On Sunday, September 27th, at the Endicott Estate, Dedham, MA, RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association and RESOLVE New England will host its first annual New England Walk of Hope. More than 300 people are expected to come together to raise awareness about the impact of infertility for an all-ages, 1-mile walk that benefits RESOLVE and RESOLVE New England (RNE), both non-profit organizations working to improve the lives of women and men living with infertility.
"Everyone at RNE is excited for the first ever New England Walk of Hope. This special event will bring together many parts of our region's infertility community, including those striving to become parents, those who have resolved their infertility in some way, professionals who provide vital and compassionate care, as well as the loved ones who support all of us," said RNE Executive Director Kate Weldon LeBlanc.
During the program, RESOLVE and RNE will honor Elizabeth Carr, New England area resident, with the Infertility Hero Award for her dedication to using her personal family story to continue raising awareness about the disease of infertility. Ms. Carr was the first U.S.-born IVF baby, now 33, and is a sought-after public speaker and writer. Her writing and passion for this field has led her to become part of the team at OvaScience, a global fertility company dedicated to improving treatment options for women around the world, headquartered in Cambridge, MA.
?The committed volunteers of the New England area and hundreds of walkers will walk together to symbolize the infertility journey. RESOLVE and RESOLVE New England exist so no one with infertility ?walks? alone,? said RESOLVE President/CEO Barbara Collura.
