The international removal specialists at Interdean have responded to the news that fewer international graduate students from Interdean are choosing to study in the UK due to the way visa changes have been reported.

(PRWEB UK) 26 November 2013

It has been reported in Expat Forum that as the UK government gets tougher on immigration, the number of Indian post graduate application has fallen by almost 30% in 2013. It comes from a survey of 18 leading universities by Times Higher Education, which revealed that the higher education institutes that suffered the most significant fall in Indian post graduate applications include the University of Exeter, the University of Edinburgh and King’s College London. Despite this there has been an average 6% rise in applications from China.

There has been criticism over the government’s decision to scrap the post work study option. Students who plan to stay on for work are now required to qualify through the employment visa route and need to be offered a job paying more than £20,000 per year.

Completing overseas moves for more than 50 years, the team at Interdean have a natural interest in issues that affect international students. A representative from the firm shares their thoughts on the recent news.

“International students have a lot to offer the UK and vice versa, so it’s important that all changes to visa and immigration procedures are reported clearly and accurately. To make the process as simple as possible, we offer a comprehensive set of services, including airfreight, shipping and storage for student European moves as well as to destinations around the world.”
