The Bar Method® headquarters announces the opening of The Bar Method Madison. The opening of the Madison studio brings the number of exercise studios for the company in New Jersey to 9 and for the total number of studios in the US and Canada to 76 with more planned openings around the country in the coming months.

The Bar Method is a powerful exercise format merging the principles of interval training, isometrics, dance conditioning, and physical therapy creating a long, lean sculpted body, improved posture and strong core. The fitness sensation draws a celebrity clientele including Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Aniston and Kristen Bell.

The Bar Method Madison is the second studio for owners Angie Comiteau and Jen Hedrick and they have partnered with Gina Striffler to bring the Bar Method to Madison in addition to their thriving Summit, NJ studio. Angie Comiteau said, "We have waited six years to open a second studio. Everything we've been looking for, we found in the special town of Madison and our new partner, the talented Gina Striffler. We are looking forward to introducing the Bar Method to an entire new community."

Gina Striffler, a former Senior Manager at Deloitte, had left the firm after 14 years to spend more time with her two young girls and launch a professional photography business when she was approached about partnering to open the Madison studio. "The Bar Method has become a force to be reckoned within New Jersey with much credit to my partners, Angie Comiteau and Jen Hedrick, who opened the renowned Summit studio and spawned many other studios."

When asked why the trio chose this location Striffler said, "Madison as a location was a no-brainer. The town has a tight-knitted spirit that is palpable and unmatched. It supports children, teams, colleges, charities and businesses alike. Madison has welcomed The Bar Method with open arms and we are, in turn, excited to welcome its people in the same way."

Located in Madison’s winner for 2013 Building of the Year at 122 Main Street, the new loft-like space was designed with the brand's high standards highlighted with maple wood finishes and chic neutral color palette with bright peacock blue accents. The location includes an exercise studio, a spa-like locker room and a retail area with brand merchandise.
