Inventor and InventHelp Client Develops Electrical-Box Protector (ATH-301)

Pittsburgh-based InventHelp is working to submit the NEVER BURY to companies for their consideration and potential feedback.

"One of the most common problems I encounter as an electrician is electrical boxes buried beneath drywall, tile, wood, etc.," said an inventor from Lilburn, Ga. "It takes a whole lot of time to search for these buried boxes and more time to repair the surfaces afterward. This inspired me to invent an electrical box that will not end up getting buried."

He created a prototype for the patent-pending NEVER BURY to prevent an electrical box from being buried during construction. The unit alerts all trades professionals to the presence of an electrical box. It also affords an electrician the opportunity to install a device before covering the box. The device saves contractors time and money by avoiding the need to search for buried electrical boxes, and then having to repair the damages. Additionally, it features a universal design usable with all electrical boxes.

The original design was submitted to the Atlanta office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
