Blue Dome Press is proud to announce their coffee table book, Land of the Turks, by Dennis Jones.

Clifton, New Jersey (PRWEB) October 26, 2015

Blue Dome Press is pleased to announce the release of Land of the Turks: Journeying through a Land of History and Hospitality by Dennis Jones for your consideration.

Sitting at the crossroad of culture and faith, Turkey has always been an explorer’s destination. While some come for the Grand Bazaar, others are on a religious pilgrimage. Whoever the traveler may be, the Turkish people welcome them with a warm cup of tea upon arrival.

Dennis Jones is among these travelers. He was interested in the land’s historical sites left by the Ottoman Empire, and he was charmed by Turkey’s people. As a photographer, he has captured Turkey's most colorful aspects. From the culture of Istanbul to the landscapes of Cappadocia, Turkey is shown through a series of illuminating images. Equally as enthusiastic are the tales Jones shares through his writing. He describes what it's like to hear Istanbul's call to prayer, and he tells a story of a Turkish man on a ferry giving him public transportation advice. Throughout the collection, Jones highlights the generous hospitality with which he was welcomed and the openness he encountered when he expressed interest in traditions. He entered Turkey as a foreigner and left as a family friend. See a nation through this photographer's lens as he journeys through the land of the Turks.

About the Author: Dennis Jones is a professional photographer and writer. He received a Master Photographer degree from Professional Photographers of America, and was named the Colorado photographer of the year. With his company, Dreamcatcher Imaging (http://www.dreamcatcherimaging.com), he travels internationally, photographing architectural and corporate events for his clients, many of which are Fortune 500 companies. His travel articles have been published in regional, national, and international publications.
