Lyall Opens New Wisconsin Factory
Natural gas industry manufacturer adds 45,000 sq. ft. to meet demand from existing and emerging markets.
New Berlin, WI (PRWEB) November 26, 2013
R.W. Lyall, a manufacturer of piping products serving the natural gas distribution and oil & gas midstream markets of North America, officially opened its new larger factory in New Berlin, Wis., on Wednesday November 13th.
The 95,000 sq. ft. factory replaces Lyall’s former 50,000 sq. ft. New Berlin facility and will help the manufacturer meet both current and expected demand for its products in the natural gas distribution as well as oil & gas production, midstream and transmission markets.
"I am extremely excited about the expansion of our capabilities through this new factory." said Jeff Lyall, R.W. Lyall President and CEO. "Today, increased demand from our traditional natural gas utility market, combined with new demand from the oil & gas midstream markets for Lyall quality in larger fabricated products resulted in a need for more space. This facility provides solutions on both fronts. It was also extremely important for us to remain in New Berlin to provide continued job security for our employees."
During the grand opening, the factory offered tours to the public. New Berlin Mayor Dave Ament and New Berlin District 7 Alderman John Fillar were in attendance. On Wednesday evening, the factory hosted a reception for employees and their families featuring live music, hors d'oeuvres and entertainment.
"In the last year or so we've seen an immense amount of progress and expansion here in new Berlin […] and it’s thanks to quality organizations like Lyall," said New Berlin Mayor Dave Ament. "I was impressed with how clean and modern their manufacturing facility is."
Combined with R.W. Lyall's 70,000 sq. ft. factory and headquarters in Corona, Calif., the new facility gives the manufacturer a total of 165,000 sq. ft. of factory floor space.
"As a market driven company that prides itself on over forty years of providing high quality custom solutions to the gas utility market, we are now poised to provide this same service to emerging markets with the opening of this new factory," Lyall added.
