Marriott Vacation Club Partners With Children?s Miracle Network Hospitals to Offer the First Wristband Room Key to Support Charity
With a $10 donation to local children?s hospitals, Owners and guests receive a wristband to easily access rooms and other amenities at more than 30 participating resorts.
Salt Lake City, Utah (PRWEB) September 24, 2015
Owners and guests of Marriott Vacation Club will no longer need to scramble to find their room key. They now have the option of wearing it around their wrist ? while supporting local children?s hospitals ? at more than 30 participating resorts.
Marriott Vacation Club, a supporter of Children?s Miracle Network Hospitals®, has teamed up with RFID Hotel to create a waterproof, adjustable Miracle Band Key, a wristband that resembles a hospital band. With it, Owners and guests can easily access their rooms and other resort facilities. Marriott Vacation Club is the first hospitality company to use the RFID wristbands to raise funds for a charity.
Owners and guests will receive a Miracle Band Key with a $10 donation (or two Miracle Band Keys with a $15 donation) to Children?s Miracle Network Hospitals. All donations go to the local Children?s Miracle Network Hospital to help sick and injured kids in that community.
?What a creative and innovative way to support children?s hospitals,? said John Lauck, president and CEO of Children?s Miracle Network Hospitals, which raises funds and awareness for 170 hospitals across North America. ?The bands resemble the hospital identification bands worn by the more than 10 million kids treated at Children?s Miracle Network Hospitals each year. Guests? donations mean these hospitals can provide treatments, services and charitable care to more kids. We are grateful for the support.?
Owners and guests can take the RFID (radio-frequency identification) Miracle Band Key with them to be reprogrammed and used again at other participating Marriott Vacation Club resorts. Follow the campaign at #MVCUnlockMiracles and #MiracleBand.
?We are always looking for new, groundbreaking ways to raise additional funds for our partners at Children?s Miracle Network Hospitals,? said Cliff Delorey, executive vice president and chief resort experience officer of Marriott Vacations Worldwide. ?This is another way we can continue to help sick kids get better throughout the communities where we live and work and where our Owners and guests visit.?
Marriott Vacation Club has been a partner of Children?s Miracle Network Hospitals since 1983, raising millions to support local Children?s Miracle Network Hospitals.
