Marstel-Day Celebrates Earth Day 2018
Marstel-Day environmental consulting celebrated Earth Day on April 20, partnering with local organizations across the country to support a variety of natural resource conservation projects. Marstel-Day has kept this company-wide Earth Day commitment for 14 consecutive years by taking the day to volunteer in the community and give back to the planet.

Marstel-Day environmental consulting celebrated Earth Day on April 20, partnering with local organizations across the country to support a variety of natural resource conservation projects. Marstel-Day has kept this company-wide Earth Day commitment for 14 consecutive years by taking the day to volunteer in the community and give back to the planet.
Speaking from EarthX in Dallas, TX, the largest Earth Day event nationwide, Marstel-Day President and CEO Rebecca Rubin said:
"Regardless of the business pressures every day of every year, we make a point to take this day to stand with wildlife and habitat, to support natural resources, and to enhance continuously the quality of life for those who live and work in our communities."
This year in Virginia, Marstel-Day partnered with the Rappahannock River Valley National Wildlife Refuge Port Royal Unit in Caroline County to remove invasive species, and maintain trails; Lake Anna State Park in Spotsylvania County, to install native gardens beneficial to pollinators and remove litter from trails; and replanted three on-site gardens in Fredericksburg for perennial pollinators, wildflowers, and vegetables with this year's supply of native, organic, and locally-sourced soils, plants, and seeds.
"Volunteer efforts, such as the one provided today by Marstel-Day, are critical to ensure operations and maintence of Lake Anna State Park given our current funding challenges," said Lake Anna State Park Manager Dan Quesenberry
Some of Marstel-Day's projects in other locations included local beach clean-ups in the Oceanside, CA area and the North Shore area of Oahu, HI and volunteer efforts with Triangle Land Conservancy in Durham, NC.
