MEA is honored to present five (5) of twelve total Life Sustaining Awards to ComEd employees.

Each year, MEA sponsors the Life Sustaining Awards program to recognize energy industry employees who have gone "above and beyond" the call of duty by performing an act of heroism. This year, MEA is honored to present five (5) of twelve total Life Sustaining Awards to ComEd employees.

  • “Construction Supervisor Takes Action for Life Threatening Situation to Employee”: Brian Kayzar, field operations supervisor
  • Operator Aids Taxi Driver After Rolling Vehicle”: Joshua Rieck, area operator
  • “Two AMI Energy Techs Respond to Occupied Vehicle Fire”: Lawrence Grisko, energy tech; Joseph Cavalco, energy tech
  • “Meter Reader Saves Diabetic Man”: Spencer Gedwill, meter reader
