New Aimetis Thin Client Software Release ? Video Playback and Export Supported

Free software update adds many enhancements including video playback, export and touch screen support

In addition to decoding video from network video products supporting ONVIF Profile S, it now supports video playback and export when used with Aimetis Symphony? video management software (VMS).

Aimetis Thin Client is a secure, reliable, and cost-effective PC alternative designed to easily decode up to 1080p video while providing additional features needed in many applications. It is an ideal solution for users requiring more functionality than a traditional decoder, but less complexity than a VMS client installed on a Windows PC. Its easy setup, compact design, and flexible installation options make it the perfect device for space constrained environments, such as hospitals, retail, transportation and banking.

New features include:

•     Mouse and touch screen monitor support
•     Video playback when used with Aimetis Symphony VMS
•     Video export to a USB stick connected to the Thin Client when using Aimetis Symphony VMS
•     HDMI-CEC support to control the Thin Client using a TV remote over the HDMI cable
•     Support for RTSP video

The Aimetis Thin Client will be on display at ASIS International Seminar and Exhibits in Anaheim from September 28 to October 1, 2015 at the Aimetis booth (#1859). The free software update will be available worldwide in October 2015.
