New “Docker for Hosters” Webinar Series by CloudLinux Explains How Docker Will Revolutionize Hosting
Live online event starts on Wednesday, November 4th. First three sessions announced.
Arcadia, California (PRWEB) October 30, 2015
KuberDock, a division of CloudLinux, today announced its new monthly webinar series “DOCKER FOR HOSTERS”. Hosting companies are looking for ways to capitalize on Docker momentum, and this series, featuring Docker and hosting experts, explains why Docker matters to the hosting industry, how it affects shared hosting customers, and what hosting providers can do to let Docker revolutionize the way they do business.
“Deploying Docker allows hosters to compete with companies like Amazon AWS, Google and Azure who already offer Docker container services,” said Igor Seletskiy, CloudLinux & KuberDock CEO. “However, Docker gives hosting providers a substantial advantage over these giants – an agile ability to deploy various packaged application, such as MongoDB or ElasticSearch, dramatically expanding their product portfolio and profits. This can be done extremely quickly, and all within their current infrastructure.”
The efficiency of Docker is skyrocketing its usage in the Enterprise, and Docker can now be adopted to a multi-tenant environment. The “DOCKER FOR HOSTERS” webinar series will explain how service providers can take advantage of container hosting and running dockerized applications.

About Docker & Kubernetes
Docker allows users to package and run applications with all of its dependencies as a lightweight container. The container consists of everything that an application needs to run - anything that can be installed on a server, code, system tools and libraries. This means an application will always run as desired regardless of the environment it’s running in and can be deployed in the cloud or on bare metal. Docker provides easy upgrade functionality because the code of applications is separated from data. Since Docker has a very small area that can be attacked, these applications are hard to hack and a lot more secure in general.
Docker works with kubernetes, an open source orchestration system for Docker containers that makes dockerized applications easy to migrate from server to server and to restart Kubernetes, however, lacks very important functionalities to be useful in hosting environment. This orchestration platform was built for the use by the enterprise, a single organization, and has no understanding of a multi-tenant concept in general. The technology does not separate containers for separate users, provides no security separation between separate companies, in general, is very complex to run and manage by anyone other than a DevOps expert.
The “DOCKER FOR HOSTERS” webinar series was developed to explain how Docker can be adapted to multi-tenant environments.
About CloudLinux & KuberDock
CloudLinux is on a mission to make Linux secure, stable, and profitable. With more than 4,000 customers and partners, including LiquidWeb and Dell, and more than 60,000 product installations, CloudLinux combines in-depth technical knowledge of hosting, kernel development, and open source with unique client care expertise. Its flagship product, CloudLinux OS, runs on more than 25,000 production servers today, and is recognized as the best OS for security and efficiency in a shared hosting environment. KuberDock, a product of CloudLinux, is a PaaS technology that allows hosting providers to enable customers to deploy dockerized application within their infrastructure. Its container orchestration framework was built exclusively for service providers and is an out-of-the-box platform supporting multi-tenant environments for hosting Docker containers. It takes only a few hours for the hosting provider to setup KuberDock. Public Beta is now available at http://www.kuberdock.com.
